About Our Sturbridge Candle-Making Classes

Our hands-on candle-making classes in Sturbridge, MA teach participants how to create their own custom candles from start to finish.

Designed for beginners and hobbyists alike, the class covers the basics of candle crafting, fragrance blending, decorating, and the importance of candle care. By the end of the session, each participant will have created a fully personalized candle to take home. 

BYOB CLASS EXPERIENCE: 

We offer our participants the option to participate in BYOB (must be 21+ with a valid ID). Upon signing up for a class, you will be asked if you would like to participate. A separate form will be emailed to you if you want to participate. This form goes over our rules and regulations. On the day of, you will be asked to sign the same form, acknowledging you have read and understand our rules and regulations. 

Candle-Making Class Policies

  • Deposit Required

    A deposit is required to secure your spot in the workshop. Deposit amounts vary depending on the class. Sign-ups must be submitted within 24 hours of the start of class. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price. The remainder will be due on the day of.

  • Rescheduling Classes

    You may reschedule or cancel your class within 24 hours of the scheduled workshop. Deposits are non-refundable should you reschedule or cancel after 24 hours or same day.

  • Start Times & Grace Period

    Please arrive to class on time as the candle making process is very detailed and your candle will need time to cure before the end of class. A grace period of 10 minutes is added before class starts. Anyone later than 15 minutes will not be able to participate and your deposit will be kept.

  • Class Cancellations

    Should there be inclement weather, unsafe road conditions, or illness that forces us to cancel class, we will contact each workshop participant to reschedule the workshop for another date.

  • Age Requirements

    All attendees must be 6+ years of age. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver upon arrive. Teens ages 13-18 can be dropped off after the waiver is signed. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during class.

  • Waiver Required

    All class attendees must sign a waiver upon arrival in order to participate. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver.

Private Events & Classes

We would be honored to host your private event! Please contact us at least one month in advance to secure your date and requested time slot. All private parties are allowed to bring their own food/beverages. Want to decorate the space for a birthday party? No worries! Upon request, you can come in up to an hour early to decorate. Extra tables for food and gifts are provided upon request.

There are two types of private classes to choose from:

  • Make Your Own Candle

    Each attendee will make their own 8.5oz candle to take home. Colors and scents are customizable by the attendees.

  • Make Your Own Wax Melts

    Prefer something flameless? Book a wax melt event and each attendee will make three wax melt bars to bring home.

    $25/person
